An Invitation to
My 2nd Annual WORLD DIABETES DAY Fundraiser, Fish Fry and Concert

Alright, I admit it:  If you’re anything like me, just living day-to-day with diabetes is draining enough, say nothing about doling out extra to the cause. However, once a year I do donate all I can to fight for a cure, and have been donating my time this year for this event. I’m asking you from the deepest place within my heart and the recesses of my trying-to-be-optimistic-mind, to please donate a few bucks to this worthwhile cause that my family and I have been working on with all our hearts for some time now. The details:

Who: YOU!180px-Blue_circle_for_diabetes.svg.png

What: The Ray of Hope’s WORLD
DIABETES DAY 2nd Annual Fundraiser

When: Friday, 13th November, 2009 begins at 5pm

Where: Donate online/mail AND for SE WI residents, join us for a Milwaukee tradition: SERB HALL’s Fish Fry, 5101 W. Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee,
WI 53219

Why: 100% of all proceeds go directly to diabetes research and funding a cure.
Your donation is also tax-deductible. ANY and ALL donations appreciated, BUT if
you donate $20 it includes an All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry for those in the
Milwaukee area + the new FERAL KATZ Band CD*.

I’ll get right to the point:

If you or someone you know can contribute anything at all, whether $5 or $5,000,
we’d like to at least be able to cover the cost of the fish fry and concert AND
with your support donate everything we have directly to to diabetes research
for a cure. None of your donation goes to overhead, etc. My family volunteers
their time for this and my father’s company, TAPCO, also sponsors the
event.

As an aside, this year marks my 20th “d-anniversary”
of my type 1 diabetes diagnosis. I am 32 years old. I’ve lost an uncle at way
too young an age to diabetes complications (hypoglycemic reaction), and both my
twin sister and I are type one diabetics since childhood, my sister for over 25
years. Like many of you out there, other family members have type 2 diabetes,
as well. After my grandfather’s passing last year, my dad decided to create a
foundation in his name (Ray) and use our collective resources and donations to
fund diabetes research in the hopes of finding a cure. With the economy as it
is and everyone working hard, it seems World Diabetes Day snuck up on us this
year and ticket sales to the fish fry are waaay down.

Please click here to
donate or email me at amylia@diabetesdaily.com and visit our humble site over
at http://rayofhopefound.org.  Lastly, if
you’d like to donate, but are uncomfortable donating online or are unable to, please
contact me for a mailing address (or click here) to send check, cash or other
donations.

Anyone donating $20 or more who is unable to attend the Friday night
Fish Fry should email me at amylia@diabetesdaily.com and send me a mailing
address where I can send you a thank you gift and Feral Catz’s latest rockin’
CD (featuring my dad, a.ka. “Papa Woody” on lead guitar and select
vocal tracks). Thank you so very much for your time, consideration and support.

Much love and gratitude to each and every one of you,

Amylia
Grace
